Mobile Adoption

Welcome

Each year, thousands of animals are abandoned and must be euthanized throughout Northern California due to lack of shelter space from pet overpopulation. Since 1993, Hopalong and Second Chance Animal Rescue has rescued, fostered, spayed/neutered, and placed thousands of companion animals.

In the last 16 years, we have found homes for over 16,000 homeless and ill animals. Each story is different and many are heart-breaking, but in every case there is a common thread: an animal that deserves a second chance at life and a permanent, loving home.

Milo

Terrier mix, Male/neutered, 3 years, 15 lbs
Milo has your typical terrier personality. He would be best in an adult only household. Loves to play with other dogs. He'll bark at the big ones but loves playing with the little ones.   And Milo loves to give his humans kisses!

Chamomile

Domestic short hair, Female/spayed, 3 years
Chamomile is a sensitive girl - she would do well in a quiet home. She loves to look out the window and is very talented at catching bugs and flies. She's not a lap cat but she does love to be brushed and petted and she's comfortable with other cats. Chamomile needs a little space and time to adjust to change; she would make a great companion for someone who is patient, loving and willing to give her time to become the loving cat that she is.
