Cats

Name: Catherine Foster home needed ASAP. If you can help please call 510-267-1915 ext. 105 Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair mix Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 2 years, 13 lbs. Personality: Catherine was a little nervous when she first came out of the shelter, but in her foster home, she has blossomed into a loving, calm cat. She has been fostered in a home with very calm children and would do well with older children to hold her during the chilly nights. She would prefer not to have any other cats in the house- now that she is out of the shelter, she wants all the attention to herself!
Name: Winnie Meet Me at Your Basic Bird in Berkeley Mix/Breed: Russian Blue, short hair Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 5 years Personality: This sweet, quiet, gentle and affectionate cat was raised in a loving home. Russian Blues are known for being highly intelligent, gentle and very affectionate. So if you’re looking for a wonderful mellow cat, Winnie’s your girl.
Name: Munchkin Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair mix Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 2-3 years Personality: Little Munchkin was rescued from an outdoor life at the Port of Oakland. With her short little legs and affectionate personality she is much better suited to being indoors with a people who will give her lots of love and attention. Munchkin is relatively calm and is deferential to other cats so she would adjust to life with in a multi cat household. She is not accustomed to being around dogs, but would probably adapt.
Name: Jake Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Male/neutered, 4 years Personality: This sweet and mellow cat is a real lover boy! He loves to be petted and groomed and would make a great addition to any household. Jake gets along fine with other cats, but he's not crazy about sharing his home with dogs.
Name: Sophie Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 6 years Personality: This Big and Beautiful cat lost her human. She moved out of the country and was unable to take Sophie with her. She’s mourning the loss, so she will need a wonderful, patient person who will help her thru this transition. She also needs to be the only cat in the household.
Name: Sugar Mix/Breed: Siamese Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 12 years, 8 lbs. Personality:Sugar is a mature girl looking for a place to rest during her golden years. She is low key and easy going and would warm the lap of a senior very nicely. She is a quiet cat that would be best without dogs or kids in the house.
Name: General Lee Meet Me at PetSmart in Albany Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Male/neutered, 6 months Personality: General Lee is a happy guy who enjoys playing with his siblings, Hutch, Sylvia & Grayson. He and his siblings all get along well with the dogs in their foster home.
Name: Hutch Meet Me at PetSmart in Albany Mix/Breed: Domestic long hair Sex/Age: Male/neutered, 6 months Personality: He is a friendly, playful, curious, active kitten who enjoys playing with his siblings and his foster. This incredibly sweet kitten will warm your heart and also your lap. Hutch is a real beauty!
Name: Camomile Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair tuxedo mix Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 1 year, 8 lbs. Personality: Camomile is a new mom and she gave birth to six beautiful kittens who are now all in their own homes. She's been a wonderful mother and provided for her kittens well. She was so trusting of others being around her brood. The photograph doesn't capture her brilliant green eyes. Camomile is a gentle and independent girl. She's happy to spend time by herself, taking long naps and bird watching from her inside perch. Cam is still a youngster and on her own will be more playful now that she doesn't have to be so responsible to the kids! She's a sweet girl who's looking to start her own life now that she knows her babies will be well taken care of.
Name: Anya Meet Me at PetSmart in Albany Mix/Breed: Tuxedo mix, domestic medium hair Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 13 weeks Personality: Anya is very sweet, playful and affectionate. She loves to play with her sisters and brothers and get along well with other cats. She will run to greet you and loves to sit in your lap and be petted or brushed.
Name: Lady Di Meet Me at Your Basic Bird in Berkeley Mix/Breed: Snowshoe Siamese mix Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 14 weeks Personality: She and her brother are constant companions and they are fantastic together. She is very comfortable with humans and enjoys cuddling. Di and Charles are very much a couple and she will benefit if they are adopted together. She has the same love of kitten wrestling and is very congenial with dogs. Lady Di warms your heart with her gentle soul and like her brother must be kept indoors.

Joy for life describes this kitten, He purrs before you touch him and everyone is his friend. He’s always ready for a quick scratch and he relishes a lap nap. After a good nap he enjoys engaging his sister in kitten play. This gentle kitty leaps without caution and needs to be an indoor kitty.
Name: Sette ADOPTED! Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Male/neutered, 11 weeks Personality: This wonderful guy likes to play with his siblings. He’s an all around friendly, relaxed mellow guy who would make a wonderful furry addition to any household.

Name: Lucy Meet Me at PetSmart in Albany Mix/Breed: Black and White mix Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 1 year Personality: This sweet, serene cat recently had a litter of 7 kittens. Lucy is the mom for the 'Italian' named kittens profile above. Now that they’re weaned it’s time for momma to find her forever home. She’s a friendly, mellow girl who would love to be your lap cat.
Names: Katya and Lara Mix/Breed: Russian Blue Calico mix Sex/Age: Females/spayed, 13 weeks Personality: These beautiful sisters were rescued from the streets of Oakland. Both girls love to cuddle with their foster and each other. Both are very calm and gentle kittens. Ideally they would like to get adopted together.
Name: Dilly Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 4 years, 12 lbs. Personality: Dilly is a beautiful girl who likes to do things her own way. She is not a cat that needs to have you around all the time, but will pay attention to you when you need it most. She is a great cat for a working individual who wants casual companionship. Dilly gets along well with other cats, paying attention to them only as she needs to- nothing more, nothing less. She would likely not do well with dogs around, as they like to play too much for Dilly's taste.
Name: Guernsey Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 1 year, 10 lbs. Personality: Guernsey is a super-affectionate cat who came from an overcrowded house. After her owner passed, she and one of her housemates, Jersey, came into the Hopalong family and are adjusting to their new lives. Guernsey adores human attention and will gladly accept cuddles at a moment's notice! She is mild mannered and polite, she never uses her claws and rarely uses her voice. This sweetheart will thrive in a home that will give her all the love and affection she has been missing in her life.
Name: Aileen Mix/Breed: Domestic long hair tabby mix Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 13 weeks Personality: This sweet girl is so much fun. She is very playful and curious. She loves to cuddle and snuggle, and is quite the purr motor.
Name: Jade ADOPTED! Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 12 weeks Personality: This sweet purr motor is one of the cuddliest kittens her foster mom has ever fostered. If you’re looking for a lap cat look no further. She gets along well with other cats and would probably do well with a gentle dog.

Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Male/neutered, 1 year Personality: About 1 year old Paco was a sweet kitty who was not properly cared for by his mother, so he is not exactly sure how to be a cat. His siblings, also lacking in maternal affection, would suck on Paco's whiskers, so he had none until he was separated from his littermates. When he plays with other cats, he will play rough and he does not know why his playmates do not want to play with him. He is very tactile and knows how to use his feet to pick up objects to play with. He likes to be held and snuggled, and he enjoys helping his foster type. He does tend to overeat, especially when he is stressed, so he would be best in a home with no other cats so his food could be rationed. Paco needs a home that will understand that he is dealing with his past and that will work with him while he gets used to his new surroundings.

They are very loving cats who love to be brushed as they quietly sit on your lap. They are used to a quiet home and will need to be placed in homes that will allow them not only the time they need to work through the loss they are feeling, but also to continue living the quiet, low stress lifestyle they are used to. They will need some extra love to get them comfortable in their new homes. Maggie does have some medical needs and will need more care as she ages. Financial assistance is available for her future medical needs.

They will need some extra love to get them comfortable in their new homes. Ideally it would be nice for them to stay together, but depending on the home situation, they might be able to be separated. Name: Lexi Mix/Breed: Domestic short hair Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 1 year, 6 lbs. Personality: Lexi is an extremely unique cat. She has a lush silver and gray tabby coat that is so soft. She almost looks like a wild cat! Lexi has a very forward personality and is not for the cat-unexperienced. She is very playful and would do well with another active cat. She would be best in a home hat would be able to provide her with sensory activities to satisfy her active curiosity. She is not a lap cat and would not thrive in a home looking for a lazy cat. Lexi loves human attention, but does not need to be petted 24 hours a day. If you are looking for that rare, exotic looking, active companion, come meet Lexi!
Name: Judy Mix/Breed: Dilute Calico mix Sex/Age: Female/spayed, 2 years Personality: Judy is a very sweet girl, if a tad vocal. She may have had a difficult past because she startles easily and doesn't like to be picked up. Reassure her with love and kindness, and she'll be yours forever.
