Mission:
Hopalong & Second Chance Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of cats and dogs through rescue, spay/neuter and education programs. |
Community ResourcesHopalong & Second Chance Animal Rescue are very grateful for the many community partnerships which make our work possible, and to the other animal welfare organizations for the work they do. Together, we are making a difference. From all of us and the direct recipients of those services – our furry friends – we thank you. We have many partnerships that enable us to help animals in need of a homes. We hope you will support the organizations that support us. Animal Welfare Organizations PET FOOD EXPRESS is a long-time partner, helping us with donations and allowing us to show our animals at mobile adoptions. They provide financial support through the My Mutt poster program and other incentive programs. They also host Virtual Pet Adoptions which features animals from all the local animal welfare groups in a one-stop shopping website. WOODLANDS PET FOOD & TREATS hosts kittens during the December holidays in their Strawberry Village store. PETSMART has given generously to Hopalong and has provided in-store, permanent mobile adoption sites that have helped place hundreds of cats over the years. PET VET/PET FOOD has donated food and provides a great low-fee clinic that has served our animals over the years. YOUR BASIC BIRD in Berkeley adopts out approximately 300
cats a year and was the first permanent adoption site we
established 10 years ago. We also do mobile cat adoptions
there on a regular basis. PAWS ON PIEDMONT graciously hosts cat mobile adoptions monthly. Paws on Piedmont is well-located with lots of foot-traffic leading to many wonderful adoptions. PETCO in Emeryville now hosts Hopalong cats on-site in an in-store adoption site! MEDIA
PARTNERS
A warm and special “thanks” to our Media Partners who continue to tell our story and those of the wonderful animals we rescue:
